Directory of Elected Officials

North Carolina conservatives are fortunate to have two US Senators:

  • Thom Tillis (Republican)
  • Richard Burr (Republican) NOTE: Burr has indicated that he will not run for another term in 2022.

Your street address determines who represents you in the North Carolina House, the NC Senate and the US House. One of the following members of Congress represents you if you live here:

Each of the following democrats represent Asheville area residents in the NC House of Representatives. So conservatives do not have a state congressional voice. That doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t tell them how you feel.

However, Henderson County has elected Republican Tim Moffitt (District 117). You might want to add him back into your contacts list when you find your Dem representatives ignoring you. I’ll post Moffitt’s contact info here when I locate it.

Furthermore, each of the following representatives to the NC Senate represents Asheville area residents:

  • District 48 – Chuck Edwards (Republican)
  • District 49 – Julie Mayfield (Dem) was just elected to this seat. Former Asheville City Council rep who is very proud of her “progressive” position. I’ll post Mayfield’s contact information here once I have it. Meanwhile, you can likely reach her through December on her city council email address: juliemayfield@avlcouncil.com

Buncombe County Commissioners:

Two republican representatives were replaced by this year’s election with democrats, leaving Robert Pressley as the lone republican.
