Richard Dietz, a Republican, is running to help conservatives gain a majority on the NC Supreme Court. Dietz has been endorsed by both the North Carolina Fraternal Order of Police and North Carolina Police Benevolent Association.
In contrast, his opponent for Seat 3 is Democrat Lucy Inman, who has the endorsement of the Sierra Club, whose website proclaims, “The Green New Deal is a big, bold transformation of the economy that will tackle the twin crises of inequality and climate change by mobilizing public resources to help transition from an economy built on fossil fuels to one driven by dignified work and clean energy.” She is also endorsed by Planned Parenthood Votes – South Atlantic and the AFL-CIO.
Trey Allen (Republican Party) is running for election for Seat 5 on the NC Supreme Court. We need to elect both Allen and Dietz to take the majority.
Allen faces-off against incumbent Democrat Sam (Jimmy) Erwin IV. Erwin’s website boasts endorsements by Planned Parenthood Votes – South Atlantic and the AFL-CIO. The AFL-CIO also endorses every other left-leaning candidate on Buncombe County ballots. Click here to see their voter guide.
