While personalizing your communication with elected representatives is highly effective, using our petition platform helps us measure our collective impact. If you choose to write a personalized email or letter, please consider the following to ensure your voice is counted:
Sign Our Petition:
- Start by accessing the petition on our platform. Click “READ OR EDIT THE PETITION” above the name entry fields to customize the letter. This allows you to personalize your message directly on the platform.
- Modify the pre-written letter to reflect your views, or erase it to type or paste your own content. Tailor your message to ensure it accurately represents your perspective to your elected representatives.
Save and Return:
- After personalizing your letter, click on the “X” in the upper right-hand corner. This saves your changes and returns you to the petition form. Enter your name and email address, and choose whether to send a copy of the email to yourself (BCC:) and whether to subscribe to First Tuesday’s digital newsletter.
Submit and Follow Up:
- Submit the petition to send your message. Following up with a phone call or a video message can make your voice even stronger, although sending the form letter alone is still a valuable action.
Spread the Word:
- Share the petition with your social media networks, family, and friends to amplify local conservative voices. Given that we are outnumbered in this area, it’s crucial to make our presence felt by making twice as much noise as the opposition.
