Voter registration information
To be eligible for the 2021 elections, you must have resided in the jurisdiction at least 30 days prior to the date of the election. The voter registration deadline is Oct. 8 for new voters. You may mail or register in person by 5 p.m. Photo ID is not required to vote. Voters that did not provide a verifiable ID upon registering will be required to show documentation to verify their current address the first time they present to vote.

Sample ballots can be downloaded using the Voter Search tool provided by the North Carolina State Board of Elections. On the Voter Search tool page, enter your first and last name, then click search. From the search results page, click on your name, then scroll down to view your information and sample ballot.
If you are a resident of Woodfin, Weaverville, or the Woodfin Water and Sewer District, then you’re eligible to vote in the upcoming municipal election on Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2021.

Where to vote
On Election Day, polls are open from 6:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. As long as you are in line by 7:30 p.m., you will have the chance to vote.
You should vote in your assigned precinct on Election Day. If you need help finding your voting location, use the Voter Search tool, enter your first and last name, and then click search. From the search results page, click on your name, then scroll down to view your assigned polling location. Another way to find your voting location is to use Representative Finder and search by your address. Just as Early Voting, curbside voting is available on Election day too.
