There is just no way to sugarcoat it – The largest media outlets in Buncombe County are thinly-disguised arms of the democratic party: WLOS TV and The Citizens-Times. Is there really any debate on this?
First Tuesday is working with several loud and proud conservative voices to reintroduce some amount of balance to WLOS TV’s nightly news broadcasts. Currently, WLOS always and only broadcasts comments from left-leaning Chris Cooper (local political science professor) when they air a political story. We believe that we can begin chipping away at this status quo right away.
WLOS is owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group, which leans conservative. Write to their Assistant Vice Presidents over Programming to let them know how far left their local station has become:

Just last month, Courtney Youngblood was promoted to Vice President & General Manager of WLOS. Why not phone (828.651.4573) and email (cyoungblood@sbgtv.com) her to congratulate her on the promotion and let her know of your concerns with News13’s biased reporting.
Meanwhile, we are working to schedule a meeting with Ms. Youngblood for discussion of our concerns and to suggest how she might help her station to (at least) appear less biased.
We are fortunate in Buncombe County to have a few local media outlets that do not spout liberal narratives. A few such outlets come to mind immediately, but you can probably tell us about others:
